Hello! I’m your mentor Julie and I’m so excited to have you here! A little about me! I am a total animal lover and have five wonderful rescue cats: Mango, Lynx, Banjo, Domino, and Patio. I grew up horseback riding and had a chestnut pony named Cooper whose favorite snack was fig newtons. On the weekends you can catch me going out birding or sitting at home watching the cats run around while watching the birds come and go from our variety of beautiful plants and (probably excessive) number of feeders.

I battled chronic pain and illness all throughout my studies and have a passion to help everyone meet their goals, regardless of their situation. I believe there’s no reason that math or chemistry should ever be in the way of someone’s goals! This is an all inclusive space and LGBTQIA+ friendly! Everyone will be treated with the kindness and respect they deserve.

Why the heck am I qualified to mentor you through your coursework? I graduated with an associates degree from my community college in 2018 and earned my bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering in 2021. I spent some valuable time working as an engineer at a nuclear powerplant and look forward to switching gears to help students reach their goals with the help of math and chemistry (not in spite of it!). I’ve tutored students from all walks of life since 2017 through all different math and chemistry courses.
